Grams, don't worry, we won't let you starve! She's collecting the leftovers to make sure we don't waste anything, to take home for the dogs. Of course if you ask the waiter, the scraps will be put in a foil bag to take home.
Mothers!
Today Liz and I went for probably the last road trip of her holidays, up to the lovely Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. True to form (every trip to Katoomba I have been on since being married - 27 years) the clouds were nestled around the mountains, and hid the valleys. I long ago resigned myself to enjoying the mountains as they showed themselves to me, and nestled in hand knits I shrugged off the rain/clouds and just enjoyed the silence, broken only by the dripping of the moisture. This weather certainly drives the average tourist back to the shops, and so if you go for even a short walk down one of the mountain trails, you are on your own. Perfect!
No trip is complete without the sock photo, so agains the amazing backdrop of the Jamison Valley, I present The Sock!

Having fun and trying new things because you are never too old to learn.... love life!
About Me
- Name: gemma
- Location: Kandos, NSW, Australia
I have four wonderful children, brilliant as stars and a thorough delight to my heart. There's currently 5 cats and 1 dog who rule the roost and there are chickens currently being hatched ready to make the Dunn Street Beer Garden their new home. I've moved to the country and I've never been busier. I'm Secretary for the local CWA, volunteer at the Museum and have my dream job of working in a yarn shop.

Love the Mountains any way I can get them, but it's a pity about the view.
The sock looks like it's having a good time, though. The yarn is very pretty. :)
